Easy Garlic Lemon Baked Tilapia

Here at Remodelaholic we love all things home decor and DIY, but we also love RECIPES. While we will continue to share our latest and greatest remodeling projects we want to share some really yummy recipes once a week. Enjoy the recipes and know that we are still Remodelaholics.

We could all probably stand to add more omega-3 fatty acids to our diet. And while fish is a great source of omega-3s, it can seem daunting to cook as a main dish. Simple seasoning that packs a big flavor punch is key to a successful fish dish. Today we’re sharing an easy recipe for garlic lemon baked tilapia. In 30 minutes or less you can have heart-healthy, delicious tilapia ready to serve!

Using frozen tilapia filets makes this recipe quick and easy. You can pickup frozen filets at the local grocery store or wholesale market like Costco or Sam’s Club. To make the seasoning you only need 7 ingredients: butter, garlic, pepper, salt, dill weed, paprika, and lemon juice. This recipe is designed to serve 2. If want to make more baked tilapia, simply double or triple the seasoning ingredients.

A side salad served alongside your fish adds color to the plate and more healthy goodness. Combine buttered lettuce and sliced avocado tossed in an easy vinaigrette dressing as shown here. Or find more salad recipe inspiration under our Recipes tab.

Garlic Lemon Baked Tilapia

• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 cloves garlic (minced)
• 1 dash pepper
• 1 dash salt
• 1 dash dill weed
• 1 dash paprika
• 1-2 tbsp lemon juice
• 2 frozen tilapia fillets

1. In saucepan, combine butter, garlic, pepper, salt, dill weed, and paprika.

2. Heat mixture over low heat until butter is melted and starts simmering. Remove from heat.

3. Brush a little of the butter mixture in the bottom of a shallow baking dish (line baking dish with foil, if desired) then place tilapia fillets on the buttered area. 

4. Brush the top of each tilapia fillet with the seasoned butter mixture. 

5. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes, until tilapia flakes easily with a fork.

Friday Favorites: Dreamy Spaces and more

Hey there! Welcome to Friday Favorites. To celebrate spring and summer we shared some fun outdoor projects and have a link party if you want to share any of your outdoor projects. Back to our favorites. I’ve been drooling over some dreamy spaces and wishing I could find some good pieces to refinish, just like these below.

Favorite Accent Color: I’ve always liked pink, but this blush pink has me swooning. It looks great in bedrooms, bathrooms, even kitchens. It might not be everyone’s favorite, but using it as an accent color is a great way to add a little pink.

Favorite Pattern Mixing: Gallery walls are such a great way to add your own personal touch to any space in your home, especially a bedroom. The Lolly Jane girls did a beautiful job on this gallery wall and we love how they mixed a delicate floral with the bold buffalo check pillows.

Favorite Farmhouse Headboard to Buy: If you want to get the farmhouse look fast, grab this headboard with our affiliate link here. It would look so cute with a similar take on the pattern mixing from above.

Favorite Modern Bedroom: There are so many elements in this room that give it a fresh and modern vibe. The rug, ceiling treatment and mirror are just a few. I love how that purple wall adds color without being to loud.

Favorite Before and After: Stairs can be boring or made over to look fantastic! House of Hepworths did a beautiful job on this curved staircase makeover. I can just imagine walking into this house and how grand this staircase looks.

Favorite Wall Paneling: Sincerely, Sara D. transformed this room in such a gorgeous way. The panelling with the navy color is stunning. Plus, the rugs, pillows, mantel, everything works so well together in this space.

Favorite Vintage Find Makeover: I am so jealous of this piece that The Boondocks Blog found to makeover. The design really shows up now with the painted makeover. Love how it turned out and now to find one for my home.
