Happy spring everyone! Even though the weather is flip-flopping here in Utah from sunny to snowy, it’s nice to know that spring is officially here, and summer is on the horizon. I am looking forward to the warmer weather even though I know some people are already living in it (my friend in Arizona said it’s already hitting 90)! We had so many fun spring projects and so many great DIY’s this month! We hope you caught them all but if not, here’s the recap!
Cassity is continuing her kitchen remodel and is currently selecting a backsplash. It is so fun to see the ideas that she finds and to hear her thoughts. She put together 14 Neutral Backsplashes: My Monochromatic Tour of Yin and Yang to share some of her favorites. They are gorgeous and just as she said, backsplashes really have become their own glorious entity. I can’t wait to see which one she adds to her own kitchen!

It is so fun to see the different ideas and styles that others have and to build off of them to create something unique and different for ourselves. Since we can’t walk through every gorgeous house there is to gain inspiration, we turn to photos! Magazines, online, and Pinterest to name just a few and one of my favorites the Remodelaholic Inspiration Files. Check them out to see some truly beautiful and inspirational homes with a variety of styles. And here are our newest inspiration files for the month, enjoy!

Our guest feature this month is from Amanda at The Tale of an Ugly House. She joined us to share before and after photos of her little boy’s room! Looking at the before photos will make you want to see the before photos of the rest of the house too! The room turned out beautiful and I love that she stands by the fact that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to have a beautiful home. In addition to her Boy’s Room Makeover she also shared an easy to follow tutorial on a fabulous DIY Storage Cubby to help organize the room! Check out her post to see the before photos as well as the finished room!
