Hello again! Dawn here, from AD Aesthetic, and I’m back with another mood board for your decoration inspiration. As usual, you can see all my Remodelaholic posts, including moodboards, photoshop mockups, and printable graphics, by clicking here.
With the holiday season upon us, I naturally wanted to create a holiday decor mood board this month. I chose to run with a neutral-toned farmhouse holiday theme, and it was really fun to put together. Before we get to my moodboard though, just check out all the amazing inspiration photos I found while browsing around the web:

All that festive decor got me in the spirit for sure, and I was excited to collect a farmhouse holiday look of my own. Here’s what I came up with:

Neutral Farmhouse Holiday Decor Tips
Here are my tips for creating this look in your own space:
Mix Neutrals: Sometimes people shy away from mixing neutrals, the thought being that brown and black can’t go together. When you’re going for a collected rustic look though, mix away! Throwing in some black accents along with your rich wood tones and creams gives the design depth and visual interest. And don’t forget that metallics are neutral too!
Keep it Casual: The fun thing about farmhouse style is how casual and effortless it looks. It has that homey, cozy feeling to it, which means not everything has to be perfect. In fact, it shouldn’t be! A rustic side table or a tree that isn’t perfectly plump actually enhances the warmth of the space and makes it feel welcoming.
Textures are a Must: Just like mixing neutral colors, mixing textures is a must with farmhouse style. Rough woods mixed with soft cozy fabrics, plush pillows, organic pine needles, and cool metallic accents all blend together to create an atmosphere that feels collected over time and not too rigid or planned.
So there you have it. Are you going for a farmhouse holiday this year?
As always, thank you to Cassity and the Remodelaholic team for having me back each month, and I want to wish all of you a very merry holiday season and all the best in the new year! I’d love for you to visit me over on my site, ADaesthetic.com, or follow me on Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram for more updates and inspiration. Have a great day, friends!
