Hello again! Dawn here, from AD Aesthetic, and I'm back with another mood board for your decoration inspiration. This month, I'm excited to take on a mood board using a fun, bold wallpaper. Decorating with wallpaper, especially bold patterned wallpaper, can be a challenge. It can easily overpower a space and make everything feel busy and crowded. Read on for my tips on how to avoid the pitfalls and design a space you'll love!

Working with colorful cabinetry can seem intimidating, and going bold is definitely not for the faint of heart! Here are some tips on working with bold color if these designs are up your alley.
Tips for Decorating with Bold Wallpaper
Let it shine
My biggest tip for decorating with bold wallpaper is to let the wallpaper be the star of the show. Glancing through the inspiration photos, you can see how the decor of each space builds off of the wallpaper, rather than adding it in as a last minute decoration.
Accent
Another tip to steal from the inspiration shots is to pull your color scheme from the wallpaper design. While you don't want to go overboard trying to match your decor to the paper, the room will look much more cohesive if there are a few accents here and there with selected colors from the design. Check out the green chair paired with the cactus paper, or the bold blue vanity next to that floral wallpaper. Those little accents of color in the room really make the wallpaper pop.
Neutrals are your friend
My final tip for working with bold wallpaper is to keep the color in the rest of the space fairly neutral (aside from the afore mentioned accent pieces, of course). Keeping the majority of the main decor neutral in color lets the wallpaper stand out in the visual hierarchy, and keeps the room from feeling overwhelming and crowded.
So there you have it. What are your thoughts on bold wallpaper in decor? Are you a fan, or is it a bit much for your taste?
