We’re back today with another edition of “Get This Look”. Today we’ll be discussing the Fixer Upper La Pequeña Colina Living Room from the recent episode. The large living space was designed to open beautifully into the other common areas of the home, like the kitchen and dining room. The walls were opened up and the space was immediately filled with beautiful light from all around. The living room is such a beautiful place for the home owners to relax and entertain!
The homeowners were looking for a Modern Mediterranean vibe for their updated home. So, you’ll notice most of the structural and core elements of the home have a very Mediterranean look and feel.
Modern touches are then added throughout the home in the form of furniture, decor and accessories. The gorgeous stone fireplace and wood mantle and beams add an old-world vibe that lends itself so well to the Mediterranean look. They also help add so much warmth and coziness to the space! And, if you look closely at above the mantle, you’ll notice that stucco was added to the wall to create even more texture in the space.
The black-paned windows and doors are warmed up with full-length wood shutters, which also add immediate charm and interest to the space!
The overall effect is cozy and warm without feeling too cottage-y. It’s such a beautiful living room and the open concept floor plan works so well for this space!
