We’re back today with another Fixer Upper inspired ‘Get This Look’ post, this time with farmhouse dining room in the “A Lot of Options” house from Season 5, Episode 13.
Joanna designed another dining room masterpiece with the “A Lot of Options” house. From the layered table settings to rustic farmhouse chandelier, the neutral dining room coordinates perfectly with the home’s living room and kitchen designs. Natural elements like the jute chargers, lush garland, and cane-baked chairs all create a cozy, lived-in feeling.

Tip for Decorating a Rustic Farmhouse Dining Room
1. Select a Rustic Farmhouse Chandelier
When designing a room be sure to not overlook the light fixtures. The dining room chandelier sets the tone and style for the space. Here the rustic farmhouse chandelier beautifully defines the dining area within the open concept layout. Love industrial farmhouse elements? Make your own DIY rope chandelier with Lauren’s tutorial.

2. Hang Simple Black & White Art Prints
Joanna seems to favor simplicity when it comes to selecting art for any of her Fixer Upper homes. The black and white line drawing in the dining room here adds a slightly modern feel to an otherwise traditional space. 3. Coordinate Contrasting Chairs
A special element to this dining room is the coordinating yet contrasting dining chairs. 6 cane-backed wood chairs flank the table while upholstered armchairs stand at the table’s ends. Cotton slipcovers will help you achieve a similar look without having to invest in brand new chairs. Have your own cane dining chairs you’re looking to revamp? 4. Anchor the Dining Room with a Farmhouse Table
Farmhouse tables are definitely a home design trend that’s here to stay. After all, the dining table is what anchors the entire room. It can be difficult to determine the right size dining table to buy or DIY. Check out our exclusive guide to dining room table sizes for help!

5. Set the Table with Classic Place Settings
Simplistic elegance comes to mind when it comes to these lovely place settings. White dishes contrast well with grey napkins. White dishes not your cup of tea? Create the same feel by flipping the colors using dark dishes with white napkins. The natural elements found in the dining table design are echoed nicely with jute chargers.
