We are so excited for December to be here. Every holiday is so much fun to celebrate; the decorating, the preparations and the time with family and friends, but there is definitely something extra special about the month of December and the holiday spirit we feel throughout the month. We hope that everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving and that you ate way too much (we would hate to be alone in that). It was fun to spend more time than normal reflecting on the blessings that we have been given.
We jumped into Christmas right away, so keep your eye on our site as well as on our Facebook and Instagram feeds for some fun ideas – everything from wrapping and gifts to DIY decor and holiday signs for baby. We are still talking about every day home designs and remodels so if you have a project you are planning or working on, come check out the inspiration, tips, and design suggestions.
And please — don’t miss the Seven Simple Styling Secrets workshop! (affiliate link) It is one of the most popular classes in Jackie’s School of Decorating curriculum and she is allowing our Remodelaholic folks access F-R-E-E. If you’ve ever been frustrated trying to get your decor *just right* — this is the class you’ve been looking for. And you’ll just kick yourself if you miss out on this amazing freebie, so sign up right here for instant access starting Sunday, Dec. 6.
Shopping during December is one of my least favorite things to do. I put it off as long as possible because I dread going to overcrowded stores. Cassity shared some great ideas about shopping with a budget from the comfort of your own home in her post Easy Holiday Gift Ideas for Everyone On Your List. As the title suggests, she also gives great ideas for everyone you may have to make a purchase for! It’s a great read to help you finish up your holiday shopping (or start if you haven’t gotten too far yet).
Similar to the Ornament Display Tree from last year, this year Justin created a simple yet elegant Christmas Decor Triangle Tree. It is the perfect gift for your friends or neighbors or to display in your own home. The tutorial is simple and easy to follow so if you still have someone on your list who is hard to shop for, this just may be the answer you were searching for!As part of Remodelaholic’s Black and Gold Christmas theme, Lorene created 4 Easy DIY Gold Prints for a Christmas Gallery Wall and they are beautiful. She used gold foil for the Christmas cut outs and old book pages as the background. You will definitely want to see the gallery she created as well as the tutorial she put together to see just how easy this project can be!Cassity and Justin set a deadline to have their living room completed. That deadline? Game day! Before the room was complete they invited friends over to watch the big game and have a game day party! That incentive paid off because not only were they able to finish their room, but they threw an epic party that was definitely filled with great food but an awesome TV and soundbar. Check out their party as well as the finished room for a little game day inspiration of your own!Have you ever heard of Circle with Disney? It’s a great option for a family gift this year and one thatwon’t give you buyer’s remorse. With Circle with Disney you can control the internet in your home and monitor what your family is using it for. In a world where so much is accessible at our fingertips, it provides comfort knowing that we can help protect our kids by setting limits and staying invloved.
