We hope that everyone had an amazing July! Celebrating and focusing on our freedom makes July one of my favorite months! And to top off my favorite month, we had incredible posts all month long! If you missed them when they went live, you’ll definitely want to pay close attention here! We always hope you’ll find something you love, and as always happy DIY’ing!
Our fabulous designer also created a Free Printable Set: First Day of School Signs! Three different designs, all ready to print from preschool to 12th grade! These seriously make back to school so much easier! Check out all of the designs, pick your favorite, click and print! That’s one thing crossed of your back-to-schoool to do list! (And you can count on us having the free printables at the end of the year too, so be ready to do your side by side comparison shots to see how much they change (bring on the tissues)!)
And surely you have all been working on your yard all summer, to make it your own little oasis right? Whether it’s finished or not, you are going to want to sit back and relax in your own little oasis (wherever it may be) and sip this Island Hopper (with Recipe). It’s a fun recipe for parties, but it’s also the perfect drink for a hot afternoon!

Guest Feature
We always love finding awesome new bloggers and sharing their projects with you. (Want to be featured? Link up at the party and/or submit your project here.)
Our first guest blogger is Jillian from I Am a Homemaker. She loves that DIY allows her to create, what she calls crazy ideas, at an affordable price. So when she wanted a dining table that was large enough to fit family and friends at a moment’s notice but also fit into her dining room, it was no question that she would create it! Check out the DIY Farmhouse Table with Handmade Details + Building Plan! It turned out gorgeous!
Have you ever found a broken table with the sign, “FREE”? If you used to pass those up, I am sure that you won’t anymore after seeing what our next guest blogger created with one! Nicole Q-Schmitz, a DIYer and blogger at the Q-Schmitz Home Design + DIY Blog found just the base of an old, broken patio table on the side of the road. So she took it home and created a new top out of tile! An incredible transformation and you can read all about how she did it with her simple tutorial How to Replace a Patio Table Top with Tile!
Our next guest blogger, Vanessa Brady from Tried & True enjoys scrapbooking most of the time, but is a talented DIY’er as well. She loves backyard get togethers and wanted a bar that was high enough to keep drinks away from little hands and easy to access and put away. So she designed and created an Easy DIY Outdoor Fold-Down Bar Table. My favorite part is how it is disguised when folded down and ‘put away.’ You’ll definitely want to check out the details of this DIY creation!
We shared this DIY Monogram Planter Tutorial on social media and got such a positive response from everyone that Michelle with Ellery Designs was kind enough to guest blog and share the step by step creation with us! She is excited to decorate it differently for each holiday, and I wish I was her neighbor so I could see it in every season! (Hopefully she will share that on her site!) She also suggested fake blooms if you don’t want to worry about watering which is an idea I could totally get behind! Lovely project! So unique and so inpirational!
Our final guest blogger of the month has a talent after my own heart, repurposing old items and creating something new with them! Kelsey, blogger at Tattered and Inked has a talent for DIY projects and furniture redos. Like most DIY’ers, after searching for the perfect water table for her little girl, she decided to just create her own. What an inspirational makeover! I feel motivated enough to drop all of my other projects and go make Build a Kids Sand and Water Table from an Old Sink for my little girls! Thanks Kelsey!
Don’t forget to follow our site for the latest posts! We have lots of fun school ideas rolling out since the start of the school year is right around the corner! You can also get weekly recaps of the latest DIY projects and ideas by signing up for our weekly newsletter! And as a reminder, we always love to see what you are working on too! Share your pictures on Facebook (you can message us, and we’ll add it to our Fan Features album). Have a wonderful month everyone!
