Floats are one of those incredibly nostalgic foods that bring back a lot of memories. Seriously, floats used to be HUGE and everyone used to make them at home, and there’s a reason for that, they are delicious! So I decide to throw a blast from the past and make a float at home, a Fruity Cream Float to be exact.

To be completely honest with you I love this drink! It has been a family staple around here for the past couple of years so you can be assured that this is one of those tried and true family favorites. It’s also really easy to make and while I almost always use the same juices you can also swap them for others that fit you (or your pantry or fridge) better.

The most important thing you need to know about this Fruity Cream Float? It’s a crowd favorite and you’ll find yourself making it again and again. Yes, it’s that good. It’s cool, it’s creamy, it’s packed with a fruity punch and it tastes bright and sunny. It’s also incredibly refreshing which makes it the best drink to have after a long day.

Also, it’s a drink dessert hybrid. You get all the good things about an ice cream with all the great tings of a drink combined into one. You can pretty much consider it a lighter version of a milkshake.

To make it this bright and cheery, I use a combination of watermelon juice and orange cream ice cream + some soda that brings in all the bubbly magic and charm. I also top it off with some lemon slices as a garnish and some watermelon slices that are part garnish part a little something to nibble on.
