This Mango Sunrise Smoothie will get everyone awake and out of the door in no time. Packed with flavor and super nutritious is the best way to start your mornings on the right foot.
Around here we are breakfast people, we like the hearty filling breakfasts that make weekends so good. You know, pancakes, waffles, and the occasional bowl of oatmeals. So smoothies (and all juices for the matter) were never a staple around here.
That’s obviously until this season of eating healthier and trying to include more fruits and fresh ingredients into our diet came around. Suddenly, I found myself testing all the smoothie recipes I could find. But man finding a good one was hard! They were either too thick or tasted too healthy (if you know what I mean) or needed a million +1 ingredients.
And then, defeated after so much recipe testing and just about to desist of my quest, I came up with this recipe. And oh my gosh this mango sunrise smoothie almost wins to all those heavier breakfasts that we know and love so much.
This is good my friends, this is really good. First, it tastes incredibly tropical which is amazing, it’s like being on vacation right in your kitchen. Second, this is filling, like really filling, so it leaves you filling full during the morning (which is something that I really appreciate) and finally it’s really easy and quick to make.
You can also create freezer packets of it. Just add all the solid ingredients into a Ziploc bag and once you are ready to drink add them to the blender along with the orange juice, milk, and grenadine and pulse until done. Even without the packets, it takes around 3 minutes of time and that’s for a blender glass full of it!
- 3 Mangos, peeled
- 1 Banana, peeled
- 1 Cup orange juice
- 1 Cup milk
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 Tsp grenadine syrup
- 2 Cups ice
- Cut the fruits into small pieces and place them in a blender.
- Incorporate the orange juice, sesame seeds, grenadine syrup, and ice.
- Blend until well combined.
- Serve in tall glasses and enjoy.
- For a fresh kick incorporate a dash of mint leaves in the drink.
