We hope that you had a wonderful start to your new year! If you haven’t heard us say it yet, “Happy 2017!” We want this to be a great year for everyone! We have had a fun start to January, focusing on organization and getting ready for Valentine’s. It is always so fun to focus on Christmas, but January seems to be such a calm month after all the business of the holidays. It’s nice to sit back and reflect on all our favorite homes and designs, projects and trends of 2016. We hope you are able to look back, and think of your successes and creations and appreciate them as well! And now, our January in review!
This month Cassity reflected on some of her most favorite and inspiring laundry rooms and narrowed them down to her top 20 Inspirational Laundry Rooms! I love her list and the ones she chose because they encompass almost every type of laundry room you could imagine. The large, the small, even the laundry closet (which is what we have at our house). I love the variety of styles and looks. Check them out and see what you can do to make your laundry room a happier place to visit this year!
A few months ago Cassity and Justin unveiled their new mudroom area complete with a gorgeous bench Justin had come up with. Well, earlier this month he wrote up the plan details so that you can create your own! Check out his DIY 2×6 Bench, Modern Waterfall Bench Tutorial and if you make one for yourself, let us see!!!
Cassity was busy in the kitchen this month, doing what we all want to do at the start of a new year and post Christmas… clean and organize everything! She shares a before and after of her Pantry Organization, and if you are anything like me, you are going to head to your pantry and start pulling stuff of the shelves and organizing it when you read this post. Total inspiration file!
This had to be my favorite post of the month! A Free Printable Birch Tree Art Prints with Custom Carved Initials!! It is so totally my style and I fell in love as soon as I saw it. Then I saw free printable and my heart stopped for a minute. Seriously, we had a local craft activity where they were selling prints similar to this for $10! And now I can print my own for free!? Yes please! Check out all the options and customize your own today! These would make great gifts too! So save this post and pull it up for your parents or grandparents anniversaries!

Few things are better than stumbling into an amzing DIY project right? That’s exactly what happened to Shara from Woodshop Diaries. While redoing her bathroom, a little accident led her to create this beautiful floating mirror! It’s simple, it’s inexpensive and it looks fabulous! Check out How to Make a Modern “Sunrise” Floating Mirror + Shelf to see how she did it for yourself!
Do I mention my love for good before and after’s often enough. We all need to take more photos and remember exactly what beginning we are coming from to truly appreciate the hard earned end result that we’ve earned ourselves. This After doesn’t need a before to be appreciated, but seeing what it started as will make you appreciate it that much more. Our reader, Michelanne shared with us the Before and After: Boat Shed Renovation into Bar. I really need you to check out this post and see the before’s! What a finish! It’s creative, it’s fun and it looks flawless! Well done!
