How to Get the Look: Fixer Upper Hot Sauce House Powder Room

Do you love the look as well, but don't know where to start in your own home? We've got some easy to follow tips and have rounded up similar items from this space so you can recreate the look in your own powder bath!

START WITH NEUTRAL WALLS

The foundation starts with subtle, warm, gray-like walls that feel clean, yet a little bit worn. Add in shiplap as lower wainscoting in a gray-tone and you have a unique look that adds charm and character. These neutrals paired together help create the farmhouse charm that has become so popular lately.

ADD WOOD TONES

Natural wood tones add such great warmth to rooms that may otherwise feel stark and cold. By layering in several tones of wood from the bathroom vanity (which could easily be made from re-purposed furniture) to the mirror to that shelving unit over the toilet, you add character and warmth to an otherwise cold space. The wood shelving could also be a great DIY project. Simply find some interesting iron brackets and stain your own wood shelf, cut to the size you prefer for your space!

ADD RICH FLOORING

The terra cotta-looking floor tiles add a unique warmth to the space that you don't find in every home. Look for warm red or orange tones, found in terra cotta or brick, to create a unique floor pattern. Mimic the tones of your flooring into planters that incorporate greenery and you'll instantly tie the space together.

INCORPORATE GREENERY

Greenery adds so much more life to a room. Whether fresh, faux or in the form of a printed botanical, the room instantly feels much more complete with these lively accents.
