How to Get the Look: Fixer Upper Graham House Kitchen and Dining Room

If you love this look, as well, but don’t know where to start in your own home, we’ve outlined some tips and sources below to get you started!  We’ve found some nearly identical items (and some are the exact ones) from this kitchen so you can recreate the look in your own home!

LIGHT, NEUTRAL FOUNDATION

The foundation of this room is fairly light and bright. Start with creamy white walls along with white trim and beadboard-style cabinets. The white subway tile backsplash is accented with a plaid motif under the vent hood for added personality.

ADD AN EARTHY COLOR TO THE SPACE

The sage green island creates a natural, relaxed vibe that feels welcoming and cozy. We’re predicting that green in the kitchen is going to make a huge comeback in 2017 so be on the lookout! This particular color helps the kitchen to feel more casual (but still polished) and helps eliminate some of the starkness that can come with an all-white kitchen.

LAYER IN WARM ELEMENTS

To counter the cool, white cabinets, you will want to layer in warm wood tones. Elements like the golden oak hardwood floors, wood doors and cabinet,  and rustic bar stools help make the space feel warm and cozy.

ADD SOME BLACK

To add to the modern farmhouse vibe, add in small doses of black. By adding in touches of black iron like the details on the bar stools, the large chandelier over the dining table, and the black wood Windsor dining chairs, a bit of industrial is added to an otherwise calm space. The juxtaposition of the two makes for a beautifully finished home!
