Add the Buffalo Check
To get the full tutorial for painting the buffalo checks, go here. The tutorial also includes details on the paint colors used in this project, although the buffalo check is the main statement piece in the space, the look doesn't stop there! Read on for more information to achieve this overall look!
Add rustic elements
In lieu of a traditional towel bar, opt for black iron hooks to hang your towels from. Style the hooks with decorative towels that help enhance the overall look in the room! The woven shades help add texture and warmth to the space. We've found some of our favorite hooks, towels and woven shades below to help you achieve this look. Click on any of the images below to learn more about each item.
Add a medicine cabinet
To save on space and to add to the farmhouse vibe, add a recessed or wall-mounted medicine cabinet to the space. Not only will this help free up room on your countertops, it serves a dual purpose as a mirror, all while adding charm! Here are a few of our favorite white medicine cabinets. Add a touch of modern
To keep the space from feeling to kitschy and precious, add in a touch of modern. In this particular space, a chrome light fixture with large glass globes was added. The clear glass globes also help to keep the fixture not feeling “heavy” visually in the space. Overall, the fixture helps keep the bathroom feeling polished and fresh! Click any of the images below to learn more about each modern light fixture we found with a similar vibe.
Add the finishing touches
As always, finish the space off with signs of life. This includes simple things like adding some fresh greenery in the room, adding your favorite hand soap to the space, and determining functional items that will make the room work better for you!
